Garden Grove Lights Christmas Tree

The City of Garden Grove and the Garden Grove Community Foundation present the Christmas Tree Lighting Celebration on December 3, 2013 from 6:30 to 7:30 in the evening under the clock tower in the Village Green.

Featuring live entertainment and holiday refreshments, the Celebration will culminate with the appearance of Santa and Mrs. Claus and the actual lighting of the spectacular Christmas tree.

Food booths will be available at the venue beginning at 5:00 in the afternoon.

Unlike the previous celebrations, this year will feature the sale of traditional Latin American food to be prepared by the members of the Orange County League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Foundation, a non-profit organization which is the oldest and largest Latin American civil rights and advocacy group.

Having started in 1998, the Garden Grove Community Foundation has long since been active in the transformation and development of the city. In 2002, it spearheaded the construction of a 45-foot tall clock tower named “Tower on the Green” which is located inside the city’s oldest park.
